Focus on family, friends and physical exercise, instead of food

It is summer, when we begin to relax, and where it is also normal for us to become less strict with our eating habits and clothing begins to tighten.

The reality is that, people tend to give up their healthy habits during the summer. We can blame the work license, where we do not want to adjust to any schedule and relax, or the food of the past parties that already bring us a few extra kilos. But who wants to follow a rigorous diet or settle in a gym in summer?

Although there are people who focus on being fit and healthy in January after gaining weight in the excesses of the holidays, others fail to return to a healthy state, maintaining the kilos acquired. But it doesn’t have to be this reality. If you maintain a commitment to your goals regarding your health, there are some simple strategies that can help you take action in the right direction after the holidays and throughout the summer.

Change your focus. Summer is a special time to cultivate ties with your family and friends. Instead of seeing it as an excuse to be more permissive with the intake of food and drinks, focus on cultivating your relationships and generating good memories.
It is not about filling your stomach with food but about filling your heart with the love of the people who accompany you and surround you.

Enjoy (in moderation). Focusing on maintaining your goals regarding your health does not mean that you have to maintain a 100% strict posture, you just have to set certain limits.
If you drink alcohol, you just don’t have to overdo it. When too many alcoholic beverages are consumed, control is lost in terms of giving the body energy with nutritious and delicious food.

Do not stop exercising. Everyone makes plans in summer to enjoy and the first thing left aside is exercise. This is what NOT to do.
